Computer and Entertainment Center for Footloose

This is a Samsung 170MP LCD computer monitor with a built in TV Tuner.
I discovered that it is cheaper to buy a computer monitor that has a built in
tuner than it is to buy a dedicated LCD TV. This one is currently going for
about $980.00 on the internet.
This unit has a fully functional TV tuner and IR Remote. It also has dedicated
S-Video and conventional Video/Audio input with stereo speakers.
It is also ideally suited for an RV environment since it only consumes 50 Watts
of power.

This photo shows the back of the monitor which is approximately 4 inches thick,
the monitor arm I used and my custom made computer table with drop leaf. The
TV/monitor can be swiveled to any convenient position and I have even rotated
it and shoved it out the window so it can be seen outside under the main patio
awning.
I have installed my satellite receiver in the cabinet beneath the table and
fed the S-Video and audio outputs directly to the monitor. My receiver has a
UHF RF remote and can be located in any out-of-site location.
I have also installed a 5 port network hub in the cabinet and the white cable
visible on table top above connects to this hub so I can use a remote laser
printer with my laptop. I will also be installing other interfaces this winter
that will allow me to utilize a tower computer which will be installed in the
front bay immediately below this table.
The small DC fan will be installed in top of the cabinet to exaust some of the
heat generated by satellite and networking components in the cabinet.

This is a photo of inside of the cabinet. It is a little messy but computer
and power cables tend to do that. The top shelf with all of the loose connector
laying on it is where my satellite receiver goes.

The remote printer, a HP Laserjet 6P is located beneath VCR and TV in bedroom
cabinet.
The Category 5 LAN jack is visible in the compartment below it.
It was a tight fit but it works OK.
