Last winter (2004), Peggy & I completely re-done the front entrance on Footloose by replacing all of the old vinyl and removing all of the original carpet on stairs and landing.

We stripped everything down to the stainless steel and polished everything we could, installed laminate on the step treads and finished out the area between landing and hardwood floor in front of bus. I also covered the shift pedestal with 1/4" wood flooring material.

We also stripped all of the original carpet off of the drop down (which is solid steel) and re-covered it with new Berber carpet.

Above is the re-finished dash and the stainless panels up front that were polished. You can see the laminate on the landing and top step here.

This is the re-finished cockpit floor which is also Berber carpet.

Note the new Penennsula sliding drivers window.
I kept the Flexsteel drivers seat that was in Footloose when we bought it simply because it is comfortable and it does have electric controls.

Here is a photo of the upgraded entrance area. We also replaced the vinyl on door panel.
