Installation of a new Dining Table in Footloose
This photo shows the old dining table that was originally in Footloose. There
was hardly enough room for one person much less two.
Above is our replacement table which we found at Service Merchandise. This
is a dual drop leaf table and it was installed with one leaf underneath the
edge of window frame. The original table already had a slot cut out for it
and I simply enlarged it for the new one.
I also installed sliding latches on the lower edge of the window frame where
it meets the table to stabilize it while the coach is moving. This also allows
it to be slid out if we want to use the other leaf.
Unfortunately, the original chairs were too big and we spent a month or two
trying to find two that were small enough to fit in between the table and
wall or other table. Finally found these in a surplus furniture store in Myrtle
Beach. Peggy had to refinish them.
