Footloose is equipped for Satellite Internet
Service
We were at the last Great Eastern Area FMCA ralley, (this was
the last one we attended) and ran across a deal on a Motosat Satellite Internet
system which I had been slobbering over ever since we hit the road. I really
needed a reliable means of managing our finances and this website while on the
road and this looked to be the ideal solution, even though it was expensive.

The dealer that I purchased it from managed to shoehorn it between
my front and middle skylight which used up the last free roof space on Footloose.
The photo above shows it in stowed mode and I have not had an oppurtunity to
get a good photo of it deployed yet. The old TV dish located in this area was removed since this system does both.
It is all completely automatic and also has capability of receiving Dish Network TV when deployed (Both Dish satellites and it is completely automatic when the internet service is up).
Suffice to say that it does work and does provide me with internet and Dish TV access on
the road but it was not without startup problems, both with the dealer and Motosat.
The whole episode is outlined in the Footloose
travel log.
