The RV Surplus Connection
Scavenge: To take or gather (something usable) from discarded material.
Scavenger: An
organism, object or person that scavenges .
I will have to admit I am a scavenger because I will never pay full price for serviceable equipment or parts that can be had for less on the surplus market.
In the Bus Conversion marketplace, surplus parts are essential for older coaches that are no longer in production or even in business. Therefore, every Bus Nut is a born-again scavenger unless they have so much green that $750,000 for a custom converted Provost is pocket change.
In the RV marketplace, you can sometimes save up to 50% or more on appliances or parts that are salvaged from wrecked RV's or simply surplus inventory.
I know there are more scavengers, or would-be scavengers, out there and
I am going to try to assemble a web page that has resources to support this
worthy endeavor.
Initially, I plan to accumulate a list of surplus dealers and display the dealers
in geographical areas of the continental US.
I have also created a new discussion forum here to allow interaction within
the scavenger community and me or the dealer network. I envision a situation
where anyone would be able to post a want list on the forum and dealers will
be able to respond with availability of the desired parts.
Dealers, or individuals, will also be able to post hard to find parts.

searchable Database for RV Surplus Dealers |

Below is the regional listings with abbreviated information in the Surplus Dealers database .
Since the above database is a more suitable, and easier,
method of doing this, I will not add any new listings
here unless specifically requested by someone.
Find an individual or business, phone number, location and even map it.
